Dude, where's my diploma?...

So this training is going really well. We're way ahead of schedule, so the senior techs here have decided to let us newbies take the last few days to focus on things we're unfamiliar with.

i.e. the machines.

Canon USA is not your everyday Fortune 500 company. Apparently, they hire talented people without ego's -- and then they unleash these people on their dealers. This place is FULL of wizards, man...no kidding, and they were just full of answers to practical problems we come up against all the time.

And the best part? Yeah, thats when a guy who's been with the company a whole freakin' 2 months gets asked back into the engineering department to speak to the developers of the software and solutions devices he works on everyday. What do they want to know you ask?

Well, turns out they want to know what the new guys thinks could be improved.

And the crazy thing is, they actually wanted to know what could be improved. As opposed to just using this data for some HR purpose, they actually wanted to know what the hell I thought needed tweaking. No ego's, no bullshit. What do you think kid?

Holy freakin' shit, this job rocks.
